2) defeat any attempts to introduce legalized gambling into the State of Hawaii.

Problem Gambling Resources
The Hawaii Coalition Against Legalized Gambling has extensive reference materials and media including two DVDs available. One is on gambling issues on Hawaii and the other is on the effects of problems with gambling on women and families. Soc 3809A SOCIOLOGY OF PROBLEM GAMBLING,
3 CREDIT COURSE, SEPTEMBER 6, 2008 through
DECEMBER 4, 2008. SATURDAYS 8-11 AM
Instructor: Sister Paulette Yeung, a Problem Gambling Counselor and Consultant. The course will heighten awareness of the problems of legalized gambling in the United States and ways to deal with the problems which arise from gambling.
The University accepts all students including those who are special status, unclassified or who wish to audit.
